Acura Car Key Replacement for Every Model and Key Type
Acura has produced several distinct generations of key technology across its lineup, and the right replacement process depends entirely on which system your vehicle uses. Older Acura models — including early Integra generations — used a standard cut key with a small transponder chip embedded in the head. That chip must be programmed to match your car's immobilizer, or the engine will not start even if the blade turns freely. Mid-generation models like various MDX, RDX, and TL trims introduced remote head keys that combine the cut blade with lock, unlock, and panic buttons in one unit. Newer Acura vehicles, including recent MDX and RDX trims, use proximity smart keys that only need to be within range for the push-button start to function.
Our technicians carry programmers compatible with the full range of Acura key systems. We cut new blades using precision automotive key-cutting equipment loaded into our mobile units, and we program transponders and smart keys on-site using OEM-level diagnostic tools. If you have a working spare, we can clone or add a second key to your system so you are never left with only one. If all keys are lost, we perform a full system reset and issue a fresh key — all without towing your vehicle anywhere.
